Composed byAshley Santiago
The first Neue Terra collection was composed by Ashley Santiago, whose lifelong connection to Northern California began in San Francisco, where she grew up.
After studying chemistry, she trained at ISIPCA in Paris and the Givaudan Perfumery School. Her compositions unite technical precision and lived experience, giving form in scent to places she has known.
Places known firsthand
Every Neue Terra fragrance begins with a place known firsthand. Its terrain, climate, and flora form the foundation of the composition, translated through atmosphere, structure, and emotion.

For the first collection, that meant three places: the Lost Coast, where the King Range drops into the Pacific; Muir Woods, in the moment fog lifts and warmth touches resin and earth; and the Great Smoky Mountains after dark, embers against cool air.
An authored art
We view perfumery as an authored art. A composition reflects the sensibility and memory of the perfumer as much as the place itself, formed through the exchange between landscape and individual.

Our fragrances are genderless by design, and every formula is developed with patience and precision. Each is made in California.
